The Aviation English Teacher Training Course is designed to provide language teachers with the skills needed to deliver effective English language courses for pilots and air traffic controllers and to become aware of the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements.

The one-week course will be a practical course and contain a series of workshops focusing on:

• Grammar review
• Language analysis
• Aviation vocabulary
• Basic theory of flight
• Development of listening and speaking skills
• Analyzing key areas of ICAO document 9835
• Assessing trainees’ levels according to the ICAO Proficiency Rating Scale
• Availability of materials and materials development
• Lesson planning and course design
• The use of Aerosolutions’ distance learning and instructor-led courseware

Our Aviation English Teacher Training Course is conducted in a classroom environment and can be delivered on-site. All trainees are certified upon the successful completion of training.

Extended training

Our extended two-week Aviation English Teacher Training Course includes the areas above plus:

• Classroom management
• Observed Aviation English lessons
• Classroom practice and feedback
• Introduction to key issues in language testing
